Chiefs vs. Raiders Game Sees Major Overlay Where Trend Favors Dog in Big Way
The line on the Chiefs-Raiders has moved from KC -9 to -7.5 and back up to -9.5. We get a line of Vegas -2.85. That's a 5 to 6 point overlay. These go to the dog (15-2 Against The Spread in our sampling) so Raiders +9.5 here.
This game is set for 4:30 pm ET on Saturday, one of two games being played on that day.
This is a meaningful game for the Chiefs who are vying for a first-round bye and home-field advantage in the AFC.
The game will be the first one played since Bills safety Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest on the field in Monday night's game against Cincinnati. Hamlin's condition appeared to be improving as of Thursday afternoon with doctors confirming he could now communicate through writing.
What's in it for Vegas?
After the Raiders benched Derek Carr, Jarrett Stidham made his first career start and completed 23 of 34 passes for 365 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. He's been limited in practice due to an elbow injury.
McDaniels said he wasn't "overly concerned" about Stidham's availability, but undrafted rookie Chase Garbers would be the next man up if Stidham can't go.
Assuming Stidham goes, he'll have something to prove.
KC has had six games in the last ten meetings versus the Raiders cover within the 9 point spread.
