Cleveland turned up to play against the Steelers last Thursday night. Normally, one of the reasons that bad teams are bad teams is because they can't put good performances together, which is why it's often a reasonable rule of thumb to bet against a bad team after a good performance, on the basis that they'll return to mediocrity. Bad teams are bad because they can't sustain a level of performance week in, week out.
But I'm not sure that holds in the case of Cleveland at Kansas City. Cleveland hasn't won at Kansas City since Bernie Kosar's time and Sports Interaction has handicapped the Browns as a two point road underdog. I think there's value there.
Firstly, the Browns have had better performances than the Chiefs this year. They'll take a lot from that win over the Steelers, as there is no team whom the Browns would rather beat than Pittsburgh. But perhaps most importantly of all, the Cleveland players read the papers too. They know that Mike Holmgren is thinking about the position of Cleveland football czar and they'll be playing and coaching for their jobs for the next three games. The Chiefs, by contrast, just want the pain to stop at this stage. Cleveland +2 at Kansas City is the first of my NFL Week 15 free picks.
Cincinnati is beginning to stutter coming into the home stretch. There's no real shame in losing to Minnesota but the Bengals need to bounce back this weekend. I don't think they're good enough to beat San Diego, which has such a high quality offense right now. That said, I do think the Bengals have enough to slow San Diego down, and cover the seven point start Cincinnati is getting.
San Diego is weak defending the run, while the Bengals Cedric Benson is having a career year. Favre cut up the Bengals in the air but the Vikings' running threat is considerably stronger than the Chargers', with all due respect to LaDainian Tomlinson. Seven points is just too big a number to resist. Cincinnati +7 at San Diego with Sports Interaction is the second pick of the week.

Finally, I think you have to be tempted by Washington as a home dog on Monday Night football. I don't know where they're getting it from or how its happening but Washington is playing some really tough, committed football right now. Washington played hard against Philly and New Orleans both, and Philly and New Orleans are both better teams than the Giants right now. The Giants aren't good enough to be three point road favorites at a divisional opponent. Washington +3 at home to the New York Giants with Sports Interaction is the third and final pick of the week.
