Notre Dame Fighting Irish Bookie News: Book to Start as QB Saturday

Notre Dame Fighting Irish enter Week 6 of the 2017 College Football season with a 4-1 record Straight Up and Against The Spread.   They opened as a -17 favorite against UNC Saturday before that line shifted to -13.5.

Quarterback Ian Book was expected to start for the Irish Saturday at 3:30 pm EST at Chapel Hill.

Brandon Wimbush was seen on crutches last Sunday and will only be used in emergency situations as the number 2 quarterback for Notre Dame moving forward.

Book was ranked as the No. 17 pro-style quarterback in the country as a high school senior, throwing 30 touchdown passes to just five interceptions, while throwing for over 3,000 yards and at slightly above a 70-percent completion rate. He also rushed for nearly 800 yards in his final year.

Gambling911.com believes the line on this game should have been -19.5 originally.  With oddsmakers seeing the QB situation resulting in a 3.5 point drop, the line should likely be -16.
