Oakland Raiders Fit Into Ben Roethlisberger Trade Talks

Rumors of a Ben Roethlisberger trade were heating up late Wednesday and the Oakland Raiders found themselves smack in the middle of things.

Roethlisberger is suspended for 6 games starting the 2010-2011 regular season after he was found to have violated the NFL personal conduct policy. The Steelers quarterback allegedly accosted a woman in a Georgia bar.

Now Oakland wants him based on latest reports.

SBG Global has the Raiders paying $10,000 for every $100 bet should they somehow find a way to win the 2011 Super Bowl. And what better way to do that than with a quarterback who led the Steelers there two times in the last five years?

The Raiders also play in one of the NFL's weakest divisions.

According to NFL Network's Jason La Canfora, the Raiders are in contact with the Steelers about a trade for Ben Roethlisberger.

The Steelers might ask for Nnamdi Asomugha in addition to Oakland's No. 8 overall pick, he stated.
