Oakland Raiders Odds to Win 2013 Super Bowl 150-1 After Matt Flynn Trade
Despite trading for Matt Flynn, the Oakland Raiders odds of winning the 2013 Super Bowl remained put at 150-1 at BetOnline. Bookmaker Dave Mason of BetOnline reported the lack of change via Twitter immediately following reports of the trade.
“This is good for the Raiders but the betting public just doesn’t see it resulting in a Super Bowl win,” noted Gambling911.com’s Don Shapiro.
The Raiders agreed in principle to acquire the Seattle Seahawks quarterback in exchange for two draft picks -- one in the 2014 draft and a conditional pick in 2015, according to league sources.
Flynn has made just two career starts and threw only nine passes last season as a backup to Russell Wilson. He is expected to make $5.25 million in base salary this season.
The Raiders are attempting to ship off underperforming Carson Palmer to the Arizona Cardinals. Palmer’s salary was expected to be approximately $13 million this season.
