Oklahoma Sooners vs. Miami Hurricanes odds have apparently not been affected by news that Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford will be out for Oklahoma on Saturday.  Odds actually moved in the Sooners favor by late evening Thursday at SBG Global where the line went from Oklahoma -7 to -7 ½.   The Vegas Hilton had Oklahoma Sooners vs. Miami Hurricanes odds listed at Sooners -8 ½.

The betting action on the spread was relatively even though nearly 70 percent of the money line action was on Miami promising a payout of $26 for every $10 bet if the Hurricanes were to win outright

Sooners coach Bob Stoops said Thursday that Landry Jones will start for Bradford, who hasn't played since spraining the AC joint in his right, throwing shoulder the first week of the season.

"Sam has made daily progress, but we don't feel like he's quite where he needs to be yet," Stoops said in a statement. "Our team has a lot of confidence in Landry's ability and we're looking forward to going into the game with him at quarterback."

Stoops did not say whether Bradford could serve as Jones' backup.

Perhaps that is what bettors are counting on.  After all, both teams have identical 2-1 records even though Oklahoma is ranked number 8 in the country ahead of Miami at number 21.

Gamblers also feel confident in Oklahoma after they blew the Hurricanes out of the water in 2007 at home by a score of 51-13.

The Hurricanes are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 vs. Big 12.

The Hurricanes are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games as an underdog.
