Oklahoma vs. Texas A&M Spread Very Steady at -3
The Oklahoma vs. Texas A&M spread has remained stationary throughout the week with the Sooners a -3 road favorite. It is actually a little bit odd that the line has moved so little, if at all. Just over 80 percent of the spread action is lopsided in favor of Oklahoma. In fact, Oklahoma is getting more action than any other College Football side this weekend, including Alabama (which was getting the second heaviest volume of any side). 85 percent of the total action was on the OVER 61. The Oklahoma money line was getting well over 90 percent of the action at -150 (bet $15 to win $10 if the Sooners win outright and the $15 bet is refunded should it be a winner). Probably not a whole lot of value in the money line.
Oklahoma comes into this game ranked #8 while Texas A&M has a 5-3 record.
The Sooners are the first of three ranked opponents the Aggies are facing the next three weeks. Oklahoma leads this series 18-10.
Oklahoma has won 35 in a row at home for the longest active streak in the nation. But the Sooners will be on the road for this game where they are 0-4 Against The Spread in their last 4 games as a road favorite. There could be some solace in that the Aggies are just 2-6-1 ATS in their last 9 games as a home underdog.
"Going on the road to all these Big 12 South division teams, and North, it's tough. But you could ask me that the six times a year we're on the road," said coach Bob Stoops. "It's that way every time. And probably fair to say when people come here, it's tough to play, too."
"It's always tough to go on the road, especially A&M. That's a tough place to play," said tight end James Hanna, who has caught a TD pass in four straight games. "You've just got to concentrate on little things, details. Not turning the ball is important. Being physical is important. We've got to run the ball. We've got to have balance.
"If we can do that, we should be fine."
Oklahoma had their first loss two weeks ago against Missouri where they committed a season high three turnovers. They followed that one up with a throttling of Colorado, 43-10 and zero turnovers. The Sooners are just 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 games following a Straight Up win.
Some other important trends to consider before betting on Oklahoma vs. Texas A&M:
The Sooners are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game.
The Sooners are 0-6-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a SU win of more than 20 points.
The Aggies are 2-8-1 ATS in their last 11 games as an underdog.
The Aggies are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games as an underdog of 0.5-3.0.
