2015-16 Projections and Expectations

Despite entering the fall not knowing who will be under center at quarterback, the Rebels are still expected to finish in the top 3 of the SEC West Division by numerous media outlets, and we will disagree with that hypothesis. The Rebels do not have the fire power, but they do have the defense, and although they say defense wins championships, you still have to be able to move the ball with a semblance of consistency.

A seven-win season is our prediction for Ole Miss, with a fourth or fifth place finish in a rough-and-tumble division that just has too much returning for Ole Miss to compete with. The Rebels may only have five road games on the schedule, but four of them are at Alabama, Auburn, Florida, with a season closing game at Starkville against Mississippi State. Ole Miss will be underdogs in all four of those contests, and will likely lose all four of them. There should be a bowl game to come, but it won't come anywhere near New Year's Day.
