Packers vs. Seahawks Vegas Line Settles in at -6
Most of the Vegas sportsbooks were offering a line of -6 and total of 47 on the Packers vs. Seahawks game by Thursday afternoon. A handful were offering the line at -5.5. Online things were a bit more split with half the books offering the -5.5 and the others offering -6.
A Thursday night game and the first of a new NFL season will drive heavy volume to the books. At -5.5 the betting action was only slightly favoring Seattle. At +6, Green Bay was getting the edge. All in all, this should present a balanced result for the sportsbooks regardless of which side ends up winning. 70% of the total action was on the OVER 46.5 so that could sting the books a bit should this game fail to stay UNDER that total.
The LVH opened this game Seattle -5 back in April. Up until August, the number had alternated between -5 and -5.5 before reaching -6 at some books in recent weeks.
