If you are selecting your 2015 Divisional Round Playoffs Fantasy picks from the Panthers vs. Seahawks matchup, this will be no easy task.  The last meeting between these two teams ended with a 13-9 Seattle home win back in October. Defensed reigned here so there weren’t a whole lot of opportunities to boost an individual’s stats in that one.  Will Saturday’s game be any different?

Well, Carolina’s defense has improved dramatically in recent weeks since that October meeting.  So too has Seattle’s offensive abilities.  The Seahawks have won nine of their last ten games and six straight.

So let’s look at a few of our limited options for this game.

Cam Newton – He was just 12 for 22 for 171 passing yards, with no TDs and 1 INT when these teams met back in Week 8.  Not much more to say here other than he is still relatively cheap at $6700.

Russell Wilson – You’ll get him around $8000 but with Carolina’s stingy defense, we anticipate limited production from Wilson.

Greg Olsen – Carolina’s tight end also struggled last week. He was rendered completely ineffective in the last meeting with Seattle.

Marshawn Lynch This is probably your best option as the Panthers Star Lotulelei will be out for this game.  You will get him at $8000.

Doug Baldwin – There is value here at $4500 as Baldwin could exploit Colin Jones, who, as Rotogrinders.com notes, allowed a 77.4% completion percentage and 107.9 QB Rating on throws in his coverage.

Note that weather should not be a factor in this game.
