 (233) New England Patriots (-2 ½) (234) New York Jets 4:15 PM EST
Until Jets HC Ryan realizes that his mouth is doing more to motivate opposing teams than inspire confidence in his own players, he’s going to continue entering games on the short side of the psychological stick.  Such is the case today when the Jets host New England in a game 2 “L vs. W” set that would normally favor the divisional home dog.  Yet the matchups clearly favor the Patriots in this one.  HC Belichick, who is acting as his own DC in 2010, is a total mismatch against Jets QB Sanchez who was 10-21 (48%) for only 60 yards and a 2.9 OYPA, worst in opening week against a vaunted Raven defense.  That may get worse this week against the inspired Patriots.  Meanwhile, QB Brady is inspired to make a statement game against the Jets defense he torched in their 2nd meeting last year for 68% C and 310 PY.  It could be better with a healthy WR Welker.  Top Play on the Pats to drop Jets to 0-2 SU, ATS.

Selection:  10* New England
