Playoffs, You Want to Talk Playoffs? 2017 NFL Post Season Betting
There is only one more week left in the NFL season, which means itís time to get ready for the Playoffs. Each division has a decided winner already except for the NFC South which is still up in the air between the New Orleans Saints and the Carolina Panthers. There is still one wild card spot up for grabs in the NFC, and in the AFC both wild card spots are yet to be decided.
In the NFC the Eagles have locked up the number 1 overall seed and will have home-field advantage throughout the Playoffs. However various betting software solutions providers have the Minnesota Vikings as the +150 favorite to win the NFC Conference, whereas the Eagles are sitting at +400, along with the Saints and Rams. The final wild card spot is between the Atlanta Falcons and the Seattle Seahawks, with both teams sitting at an overall record of 9-6. However, if they finish the season with the same record then the Falcons will get into the playoffs because they have the tie breaker since they beat the Seahawks earlier in the season.
In the AFC, the Patriots are sitting in the number 1 seed, but they need to either win their last game or for the Steelers to lose their last game in order to clinch the number 1 seed and home field throughout the Playoffs. You can bet that the Patriots are going to be full steam ahead against the Jets this upcoming weekend because they know how critical it is to be the number 1 seed. (In 2016 the Patriots lost the final game of the season to the Miami Dolphins and then lost the number 1 seed to the Denver Broncos, and were then eliminated by the Broncos in Denver in the AFC Championship game.) The Patriots are the current favorite to win the AFC Conference according to the best pay per head site AcePerHead.com at -150, with the Steelers close behind at +220.
In the AFC the Tennessee Titans, Baltimore Ravens, LA Chargers and Buffalo Bills are still alive for the final two wild card spots. At the moment the Ravens are in the driver seat for the 5th seed with a 9-6 record, and can clinch it with a win against the Bengals or if either the Bills or Titans lose their game. The other team that controls their own destiny is the Titans, who can clinch a playoff berth win a win against the Jaguars, or with a Bills and Chargers loss. The Bills and Chargers both need to win and get some help. This should all mean that it is going to be a wild week 17 of the season.
