Raiders vs. Dolphins Line

Amazingly, the Raiders vs. Dolphins line was favoring Miami despite Oakland’s impressive 7-4 record while the Dolphins were coming into this one with a mere 3 wins on the season.  Bet this one at BetOnline.com.  Receive up to $900 in FREE CASH

What gives?  It could have something to do with Miami winning 3 of their last 4 games and losing last week’s meeting with Dallas by a single point in the final seconds.

Oakland has won their last three games including two on the road against San Diego and Minnesota.  They also handed Chicago a loss at home.  Most of the Dolphins recent losses have been within three points.  They are 5-5-1 ATS.

The Raiders are 6-0 Against The Spread in their last 6 road games.

The Raiders are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games as an underdog.

Last year, Miami beat Oakland on the road by a score of 33-17.

Tony Bryant of BetOnline.com:

“For as good as the Raiders have played, there are still concerns about the team’s ability to play with consistency and get the job done on the road. The Dolphins should be able to give them a stiff test this Sunday, but with so much on the line in such a crucial game from Oakland’s perspective, it is hard to bet against them at least covering when spotted the extra field goal.”

We’re not quite sure we agree with Bryant’s assessment of Oakland being inconsistent on the road.  They are after all 6-0 ATS on the road.  We do agree that the Oakland Raiders should be able to win this game outright, though they just need to cover a small +3.

That said, Miami has really improved in recent weeks, mostly due to the play of starting quarterback Matt Moore.

Bryant noted:  “One of the biggest reasons for Miami getting to three wins has been the play of quarterback Matt Moore, who has thrown for 1, 607 yards and eight touchdowns while doing a much better job of protecting the football than Chad Henne did. Unlike at the beginning of the year when the Dolphins were the team turning the ball over and failing to generate turnovers, they have reversed that trend in the games that they have won, and will look to get a ton of pressure on Palmer and company this weekend to dictate the pace of the game.”

The total on this game is just 43.  Oakland has been allowing plenty of points while offering up a potent offense.  With their three wins, the Dolphins scored 20 or more points.  During their losing streak, Miami’s opponents scored 17 or more points.

Gambling911.com does like this one going OVER 43.
