The Saints vs. Falcons spread was at Atlanta -3.5 for Thursday Night Football.  New Orleans handed the Falcons their only loss just a few weeks ago.

Spread action was relatively balanced with 55 percent of the betting public backing New Orleans.

The Saints have owned this series, winning the last four head-to-head matchups and 7 of the last 8.  This doesn’t change the fact that New Orleans is one game under .500 while Atlanta has one loss on the season (albeit to the Saints).

New Orleans has played especially well during the month of November over the past three seasons.  They are 9-1 Straight Up and 8-2 Against The Spread over this time.  They are, however, a mere 1-5 ATS playing on Thursday nights since 1993.  Atlanta is 6-1 ATS on Thursday nights over that same time period.

In home games where the spread is 3.5 points or less, the Falcons are 5-2 Against The Spread.  They are a solid 18-4 Straight Up in home games.

When playing a team with a losing record, Atlanta has gone an impressive 18-1 Straight Up and 12-6 ATS.  They are 7-2 when playing a team with a losing record the second half of the season.  The Saints are 21-8 ATS vs. a team with a winning record.

New Orleans is also 20-8 ATS in their last 28 games following a Straight Up loss and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 vs. NFC South.

The Falcons are 23-9-2 ATS in their last 34 games following a ATS loss.
