Saturday NFL Betting Odds, Trends, Most Bet On – December 24 – Week 16

There are a full slate of NFL games this Saturday the day before Christmas Eve, all but one during the afternoon with two more games Christmas night and another Monday night.  Gambling911.com has all your NFL Week 16 betting odds and top trends below as well as the most wagered on sides.

Titans, Chargers Most Bet on Sides NFL Week 16

Tennessee was seeing over 90 percent of the betting action in Jacksonville while the betting public was all over San Diego at 85 percent to ensure Cleveland remains winless with just one more game to play after this week.  Neither game was necessarily getting a substantial amount of volume compared to others on the schedule.   Do look for the Packers (seeing 75 percent) to rank among the top three most bet on sides by Saturday morning. 

Games With Meaning

The Titans-Jaguars game will be critical as Tennessee is looking to advance into the post season.  They are currently tied with Houston for the lead in the AFC South.

Green Bay advances into the Playoffs by beating the Vikings Saturday and winning at division-leading Detroit in Week 17 

The Miami Dolphins can secure their first playoff berth in eight years on Saturday afternoon with a win against the host Buffalo Bills in addition to a Denver loss at Kansas City.  They are a +4.5 underdog in Buffalo however.

Atlanta vs. Carolina will also be a critical matchup for the Falcons, who can clinch the division title with a win and a Buccaneers loss or tie.  The Panthers have won three of their last four games, two against teams with winning records, so this is far from a given for Atlanta.

The Redskins as a -3 favorite in Chicago still have slim hopes for a post season appearance, though about eight scenarios have to go against the Giants for this to happen and Washington cannot afford any more losses.

Tampa Bay vs. New Orleans will be a critical game for the Bucs.  They are one game behind Atlanta in the NFC South and tied with the Green Bay Packers for the last remaining wildcard spot.  A win here will help their chances significantly. 

The Bengals vs. Texans game is a must win for Houston.  The Texans come into this one a -1 point favorite and starting former backup quarterback Tom Savage in favor of Brock Osweiler.  

Looking Ahead in Week 16

The best three games of Week 16 are two remaining on Sunday and one Monday night.

Pittsburgh can clinch the division with a victory on Sunday at Heinz Field against Baltimore while the Ravens can claim the AFC North title with two more victories to close out the season.  Pittsburgh is a -6 favorite Sunday night.  The Steelers are a -6 point favorite Sunday.

After last week's loss to New England, the Denver Broncos need to win their final two games to have a hope of defending their Super Bowl title.

Kansas City can clinch a playoff spot with a win or a tie against the Broncos or if the Ravens lose or tie.

Monday night’s game between Detroit and Dallas might not have looked impressive on paper entering this regular season but turns out to be one of the most anticipated Monday Night Football games of 2016 compared to the vast number of duds that have been played in primetime thus far.

The Cowboys have already clinched the number one spot and home field advantage thanks to the Giants Thursday night loss.  As such, they may opt to sit some starters.  

The Lions (9-5) can clinch a playoff berth with a win over the Cowboys (12-2) on Monday night.  Dallas was still a -6.5 home favorite as of Friday afternoon.
