The oddsmakers may have New England, San Francisco and Denver as the early favorites to win the 2014 Super Bowl but sports bettors are eyeing other teams with much longer odds.
The biggest favorite by far when it comes to early action both online and in Vegas has been the Seattle Seahawks, according to Covers.com.
Seattle would currently pay out $1200 for every $100 bet with a win.
Other early favorites among the betting public included the New Orleans Saints at 15/1 odds, the Washington Redskins at 28/1 odds and the Cleveland Browns at 80/1 odds.
The love for Cleveland has to do with rumors that 49ers quarterback Alex Smith may be on his way over there.
Two of the big early public favorites from this past year fell short of even making the post season. They included the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles.
