(November 27, 2022) - The Seattle Seahawks are among the season's biggest surprises.  They are 6-4 Straight Up and Against The Spread.  Seattle has won four of their last five games.  A loss in Tampa November 13 was still a solid performance with just a five-point loss, though Seattle failed to cover the +2.5 spread.

The Seahawks will face a 3-7 Las Vegas Raiders team as a -3.5 to -4 point home favorite on November 27.  We actually have the Raiders at 0.73, indicating the Wrong Team is Favored with an Overlay of 4.5 to 5. Overlays have tended to go more for the dog and, in college football at least, overlays greater than 5 points overall have gone 12-2 for the favorite heading into this weekend's college football game slate.  This trend doesn't necessary apply to the NFL.

There are a few good comparable games nonetheless.

Las Vegas +3.5 / +4 LA Chargers (home favorite Chargers covers with 5 point win) 7.21 Underlay of 3.5 to 4.

Green Bay -3 to -4 Detroit (home dog Detroit covers and wins)  Green Bay 6.02 Underlay of 2 to 3 points.

Jets +3.5 New England (home favorite NE covers and wins) NE 5.22 Underlay of 2 points.

Seahawks Memorable Covers Trends

Nov 6, 2022 @ ARI - Seattle +2.5 (first 24 hours only) to +1.5 vs. Arizona.  The road dog Seattle covered and wins outright.  We had an Underlay of between 2 to 3 points for this one.

Favorites in this line range had gone 25-9 coming into November 27, so Seattle did defy this particular trend.   Underlays were 7-1 Against The Spread for the favorites in this line range as well.

Seahawks Failed Covers Trends

Oct 9, 2022 @ NO - Seattle +5 to +6 New Orleans (home favorite New Orleans covers and wins by 7 points)
