The Seattle Seahwaks odds to win the 2016 Super Bowl and the 2015 NFC West were at 6/1 and -300, respectively.

Seattle is an obvious contender to win the 2016 Super Bowl as they were co-favorites alongside the Green Bay Packers.

Positives: Seattle is looking to get back into the Super Bowl for a third straight year.  The Seahawks were less than a yard from the end zone of winning their second consecutive Super Bowl.  They have acquired star tight end Jimmy Graham from New Orleans.  Defensively, no unit is more respected in the league.  It returns all but one starter.  Marshawn Lynch has enjoyed four consecutive regular seasons of more than 1,200 rushing yards while carrying the ball nearly 1,200 times.

Negatives: Outside of Graham, Seattle made no blockbuster deals during the offseason….not that they really had to. Two starters have been replaced on offense.

Final Analysis: Notice there aren’t a whole lot of negatives coming into this season.  The addition of Graham, that should only make an already solid Seahawks team even better.

NFC West Odds to Win Division:

Seattle -300

Arizona 5/1

St. Louis 9/1

San Francisco 15/1

NFL betting used to be built mostly around teams. Bettors looked at spreads, totals, moneylines, injuries, weather and coaching matchups. Those pieces are still there, but the modern football betting board is much more player-driven than it used to be.
