Spread on TCU vs. UGA -13 to -13.5 Early

It's TCU vs. UGA in the 2022 College Football Playoff Championship and Georgia comes in as the -13.5 favorite despite winning against Ohio State by a single point while the Horned Frogs enjoyed mostly a dominant performance over Michigan.

Texas Christian entered the season unranked.  Its defense contained Michigan in the first half.  Even with a much stronger showing in the second half by the Wolverines, TCU was able to win 51-45.

“Every time we started to get on our heels a little bit defensively, all of a sudden it’d be a three and out,” TCU coach Sonny Dykes said. “We get the ball back on offense, score and put a little distance between us and Michigan.”

He added: "What this group did tonight is what they’ve done all year, just play really tough football, hard-nosed football, really believed in each other."

Max Duggan accounted for four touchdowns in the win against what had been an undefeated Michigan team.

They will now face another undefeated team and the reigning College Football Playoff champs, Georgia.

The top-ranked Bulldogs had a much tougher time winning against Ohio State late Saturday, having to rally from two-touchdown deficit for the 42-41 victory.

“Our guys are extremely resilient,” Georgia head coach Kirby Smart said. “... I had no doubt our team would come out fighting.”

The Bulldogs ran for 135 yards and finished with 533 total yards.
