Tony Bryant of BetOnline notes:  “For as good as the home underdogs have been this season, Cincinnati is not playing good football and did not have any success against the Steelers last season. Both teams will approach this game with a ton of urgency, and in this case it only makes sense to go with the more talented and experienced roster.”

What do the Steelers have to do to win this game?

“The loss of safety Troy Polamalu and linebacker Lamarr Woodley certainly didn’t help the Steelers’ chances in a close loss to the Titans, but at the same time that is no excuse for getting bullied for a third-straight road loss. Once again, Pittsburgh’s offense struggled to get its ground game going with running back Rashard Mendenhall held to just six rushing yards on six attempts, while its defense gave up 91 yards to the struggling Chris Johnson.

“With the rushing attack stalled, the Steelers continue to put too much of an emphasis on Ben Roethlisberger and the passing attack, allowing opposing defenses to key in on him. A balanced attack will be among the keys to winning this game, but Pittsburgh will also have to be much better on defense as well.”

The Steelers have won the last four in this series.

As a road favorite of 3 points or less, the Steelers have gone 10-20 Against The Spread.
