Steelers vs. Patriots Thursday Night Betting Line Features Huge Middling Opportu

The Steelers vs. Patriots Thursday Night Football betting line was coming in at New England -7, making this the largest spread of Week 1.

Prior to last week’s announcement that Tom Brady would be starting this game following an initial suspension by the league, the line had been hovering between New England -2.5 and -3.

The result has created a significant middling opportunity that has bookmakers wary.  Sports bettors can win with both teams if they have New England -2.5 and Pittsburgh at -7 with a win of between three and six points.

In the last three meetings between these teams dating back to 2010, New England has gone 2-1 with both wins in double digits.  Both wins were also at home.

The total for this game was set at 54.5.
