With the Super Bowl now just days away, the injury status of both teams is coming into focus. That helps to clear up any lingering Super Bowl betting questions that you might have before finalizing your wagers.

Kansas City Chiefs

Patrick Mahomes, Quarterback

One of the reasons Patrick Mahomes is so dangerous is his ability to run, but that was hampered quite a bit in the AFC Championship Game because of turf toe. Mahomes says that having the two weeks off before the Super Bowl is making a big difference in how it feels, and he hopes to be 100% by gameday.

Eric Fisher, Left Tackle

We know the status of Chiefs left tackle Eric Fisher. He is out with an Achilles tear and will not play in the Super Bowl, and he faces a long road to recovery in 2021.

He will be replaced on the line by Mike Remmers, who started for the Panthers in Super Bowl 50 when the Broncos defense sacked Cam Newton seven times.

Sammy Watkins, Wide Receiver

The news for Kansas City and Sammy Watkins is considerably better. Watkins said this week that his injured calf is feeling good, and he is very optimistic that he'll be ready to start on Sunday.

In last year's Super Bowl, Watkins caught five passes for 95 yards.

L'Jarius Sneed, Cornerback

Sensational rookie cornerback L'Jarius Sneed left the AFC Championship Game with a concussion after extending his sack streak to four games. He has, however, cleared the NFL's concussion protocol and will be fine to play in the Super Bowl.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Antonio Brown, Wide Receiver

He's not as valuable to the Tampa Bay offense as Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, but the Buccaneers are definitely better with Antonio Brown. At the moment, though, the knee injury he suffered in the divisional round has him listed as doubtful.

Even with the injury, online sportsbooks have Brown at +4500 to win the Super Bowl LV MVP.

Jordan Whitehead, Safety

An important part of the Buccaneers secondary, Jordan Whitehead is also listed as doubtful following his shoulder injury in the NFC Championship Game. He has been a limited participant in practice this week and has been wearing a non-contact jersey.

Even though he isn't hitting, Tampa Bay coach Bruce Arians says that Whitehead has been "flying around and looking pretty good."

Antoine Winfield Jr., Safety

Antoine Winfield Jr. missed the NFC Championship Game with an ankle injury and has been a limited participant in practice this week. But the rookie safety himself is telling reporters that he will play on Sunday, which is very good news for Tampa Bay.

Lavonte David, Linebacker

Former All-Pro linebacker Lavonte David has also been a limited participant in practice this week with a hamstring injury. He says he's taking it day by day but is hopeful that he'll be ready to go on Sunday.

Arians said you'd have to shoot David to keep him off the field for the Super Bowl. As one of the men tasked with covering tight end Travis Kelce, David's availability is key.
