TNF Saints vs. Panthers betting odds had Carolina as a +3 underdog against a New Orleans team that is 0-7 Straight Up and 3-9 Against The Spread in their last 12 road games as well as 1-5 ATS in their last 6 meetings in Carolina.  So what gives?

Drew Brees made minced meat out of the Green Bay Packers this past Sunday night, making it known that the Saints are still an NFL force while Carolina came up short at home vs. the Super Bowl champion Seahawks.  Both teams come into this game with surprising 3-4 Straight Up records.

For fantasy aficionados, ESPN.com notes that Saints starting quarterback Drew Brees doesn't have a single outing with fewer than 15 fantasy points, while the Panthers are allowing the eighth-most fantasy points per game to opposing arms.

Where Panthers starting QB Cam Newton is concerned, it’s hard to imagine he is averaging just 12 standard fantasy points at home compared to 19.3 on the road.  The Saints' soft front on a short week is a welcome visitor, ESPN.com suggests.

And with that Gambling911.com thinks this one can be a high scoring affair.  The OVER is 8-2 in Carolina's last 10 games following a Straight Up loss and is 25-10 in Saints last 35 games following a SU win of more than 14 points.

Not an official Gambling911.com pick, but something to ponder as you mull over the 49 total.
