Gambling911.com has revealed the top ten College Football Betting Schools in the nation 10 through 4.  Now let’s take a look at the Top Three.

3. Ohio State – The Buckeyes lost just one game last season but failed to end 2016-2017 with a winning record Against The Spread.  As such, the bookies catering to Ohio State bettors pretty much made out like bandits.  This was especially true since the UNDER went 4-9.

Buckeyes fans spend much of the time defending their school against the SEC.  And this year will be no different with Bama the favorite and Ohio State having the second shortest odds (7-1) tied with Clemson.

This is among the most dedicated fan bases in the nation…..and across the nation for that matter.

Over 40% of Ohio State alumni live outside of Ohio.  Presumably Ohio State alumni make a decent income since this is such a prestigious school, with a very nice chunk of those betting on their alma mater.

Check out this documentary about the Buckeyes fan base.

2. Penn State – The Nittany Lions are less of a threat to any title in 2017 when compared to the rest of the schools on our list but the fan base is outrageously frenetic.

They are considered the most loyal fan base in all of College Football.  Fans who don’t back their team with a wager are not true fans (okay, we are just making that one up, BUT…)

Penn State backers enjoy a strong presence on social media.  Just don’t tell them their team’s chance of winning a championship this year is 400-1 while oddsmakers have them claiming victory in no more than 7 regular season games.

Witness the white out below.

And the Number One Most Rabid Fan Base is…..

1. Florida State – This year’s FSU team is back on top with odds of 8-1 to win the national championship.  This is right up there with Clemson and Ohio State (both between 7-1 and 8-1).

From TheSpun.com:

The most aggressive fan base in college football has to be Florida State’s. Even though FSU Twitter has died down a bit since the departure of former Heisman Trophy-winner Jameis Winston, Seminoles fans won’t hesitate to defend their football team, and don’t hold anything back either. It’s to the point that, when anything negative is said about the ‘Noles, people almost anticipate seeing FSU Twitter come out like Gotham City PD just used the bat signal.

FSU fans’ aggressive nature can be seen on game days, too. Don’t show up to Doak Campbell Stadium in enemy colors and expect to be left alone. Constantly battling Florida and Miami fans, and then defending their team as one of the nation’s best against fans that point to the ACC as the reason for their success, Seminoles fans are a rough and rowdy bunch.

Watch below to see what he means.

Bookies who cater to the FSU sports bettor may have thought they could operate without a quality Pay Per Head following a 2014-2015 season that saw the Noles go just 3-11 Against The Spread (a dagger to bettors) despite having lost only one game that season.  They paid a steep price with FSU finishing 8-5 ATS.
