The Tulane Green Wave continued to play solid football this season.  They come into Week 12 of the 2022 season with just two losses.   For Tulane these next two games are critical.  The Green Wave can assure itself a spot in the American Athletic Conference title game, move up in the rankings and improve its bowl contention credentials.

What's Next for Tulane

Tulane will face off against SMU as a -3 home favorite.  This one briefly opened at -3.5.  We get a number of Tulane 2.65, which puts this one right on the money.

This will be a critical American Athletic Conference game for Tulane as a loss 38-31 at home to UCF on Saturday had them fall into a three-way tie with the Knights and Cincinnati atop the AAC.

A few comparables we get include:

FSU +3 / +3.5 NC State (road dog FSU covers with NC State 2 point win ) NC State 4.06 Overlay 1 point to On the Money

KSU +3.5 to +3 Baylor (road dog KSU covers and wins by a lot) Baylor 3.62 On the Money

Prior Line and Cover Trends

November 12

This was Tulane's second loss of the season.  It was to UCF as anywhere from a -2.5 to a -1.5 favorite depending on when you got the number or where you got it.

With this game we had the wrong team favored, which proved to be the case based on the final result, and an overlay of 3 to 4 points.

Favorites had gone 4-11 with the base number a 3/2.5 and under (not going over the 3), making UCF all the more attactive a play.  Wrong teams favored went 4-9 following this week.

A few comparisons based on the line move also came through for the favorites:

UK -2.5 to +1 Mizzou (road favorite Kentucky covers with 4 point win) Kentucky 2.85 On the Money to Underlay 3.5 to Wrong Team Favored

SMU -2.5 to -1.5 Tulsa (road favorite SMU covers and wins big) SMU 3.14 On the Money to Underlay of 1.5.

These did not feature overlays however.

November 5

Tulane was a -7.5 to -6.5 at Tulsa with the Green Wave covering and winning. There was an underlay of around 1 to 2 points in this one.

October 22
