Heading into Week 12 of the 2022 college football season, the Georgia Bulldogs remain undefeated and sit atop the rankings.  They also currently pay out just shy of even odds to win the College Football Playoffs Championship this season.

The opening line for the Bulldogs game versus Kentucky had them as a -22.5 road favorite against a team that is 6-4 both Straight Up and Against The Spread.

Kentucky ranked #43 on the Sagarin updated ratings this week.  We get a number of 21.23.  This one features a 1-point overlay.

Predictors and Results

Because nearly all of the lines for Georgia games this season have been in the double digits, we've only analyzed one.  That would be the game versus Tennessee.

November 5 - Tennessee +10 to +8.5 vs. UGA.  We ended up with the Bulldogs covering the spread with a 14-point win. We got a number of UGA 5.84 and an overlay of between 2.5 to 4.  Georgia's cover was very much in line with previous comparables for this season when reviewing similar line movements and other overlays in the 10/9.5 range moving downward.

Comparables for this line range included the following:

Line Drop:

West Virginia +10 to +7.5 Texas (home favorite Texas covers and wins by 18) Texas 7.86 Overlay of 2 to On the Money

Texas Tech +9.5 to +8.5 TCU (home favorite TCU covers and wins with 10 point win) TCU 10.97 Underlay of 1.5 to 2.5

Overlay 2.5 to 5:

Tennessee +10 to +8.5 UGA (home favorite UGA covers and wins by 14)  UGA 5.84 Overlay 2.5 to 4.
