Super Bowl Weekend will be the busiest of the year in Las Vegas and most of those visiting will be looking to place their favorite prop bets.  But not all prop bets will be offered in Sin City.  There are restrictions.

Unlike the online sportsbooks, where you can wager on just about anything pertaining to the Super Bowl, Vegas book are restricted to taking bets on props that occur on the playing field and can be verified in the box score. This includes bets on the time it takes to sing the National Anthem as there will not be any verification of the seconds on the scoreboard.  Online books do accept bets on the National Anthem length

The Vegas books aren’t supposed to take bets on the OVER/UNDER regarding the pounds per square inch of New England's footballs compared to a players performance.  They are not even supposed to take bets on the color of the Gatorade bath.

Even the uber popular Super Bowl coin toss bet had been off limits for some time.  Today it’s allowed but for a time the bet option was listed as "Who will receive the opening kickoff?"

NFL betting used to be built mostly around teams. Bettors looked at spreads, totals, moneylines, injuries, weather and coaching matchups. Those pieces are still there, but the modern football betting board is much more player-driven than it used to be.
