The Washington Redskins early odds to win the 2013 Super Bowl were set at 80/1 at Sportsbook.com while their odds to win the 2012 NFC East were set at 7-1.  While we at Gambling911.com anticipate these odds to be slashed somewhat, the Skins are likely to have some very good value still in the futures market leading into Week 2, so we suggest locking those bets in here over the next few days once odds are updated.

There’s a good reason to take a second look at the Redskins after they romped over the New Orleans Saints on the road in Week 1.  This is a Saints team that was listed among the favorites to win the 2013 Super Bowl and the betting public was backing the New Orleans spread by close to 80 percent.

“The Skins looked better than anything we saw Wednesday night with rivals New York and Dallas,” said Don Shapiro of Gambling911.com.

Rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III played like he’s been in the league for years with numbers that included 320 yards passing and two touchdowns in his debut.  The result was a 40-32 victory over New Orleans.
