Following a shocking sex scandal that unraveled this past weekend, England striker Wayne Rooney says he doesn’t care if his wife Colleen asks for a divorce.

A vice girl told the News of the World Sunday that Rooney paid over a thousand euro a night to bed her, and even a friend as part of a threesome.

A Daily Mail source told the paper: 'Wayne is not prepared to take any s*** off the wife and her family, not least because they're all living a very nice life off the back of his talent.

'If she can't handle it and it's over, so be it. Seems he thinks he can pretty much do what the hell he likes because they'd all be nothing without him.'

Oddsmakers have been attempting to gauge Rooney’s frame of mind coming into a 2012 Euro qualifier against Switzerland on Tuesday.  Switzerland would pay 30 euros for every 10 bet at BetCRIS.com.

Rooney is expected to play on Tuesday and his state of mind is said to be good.

Though Rooney has been widely portrayed as a “family man” much the way Tiger Woods was prior to his November 2009 sex scandal, vice girl Jenny Thompson claims that Rooney never attempted to conceal their relationship.  His legal advisers also have made no attempt to gag Ms. Thompson.

The Wayne Rooney sex scandal has been the most trafficked story on Gambling911.com this past weekend with traffic coming from the United Kingdom passing that of the U.S. for the first time in the website' history.

Some online gambling sites were contemplating offering betting odds on a Wayne Rooney divorce.

Expect Paddy Power to be among the first to do so.  They offered this colorful commentary on Tuesday ahead of the Switzerland v. England 2010 Euro Qualifier:

“And everyone thought Wayne Rooney hadn't scored for months. Revelations about the England striker's personal life are jeopardising his place in the squad, according to the Red Tops, but at least this time the other woman wasn't 105 or old enough to be his granny. He did a Peter Crouch and perhaps his lanky team-mate can give him some advice on how to convince Colleen not to dump him. Roo still better back England to beat the Swiss though!”
