Where Can I Bet on Season Win Totals? Packers, Bears, Lions, Vikings (2014)

You can bet on season win totals at Bookmaker, which typically offers some of the best prices and, make no mistake about it, prices vary per book and often do so dramatically.

The NFC North divisional win totals were as follows:

Green Bay Packers - OVER/UNDER 10.5 UNDER -135, OVER Even

Chicago Bears – OVER/UNDER 8.5, OVER -155 (the UNDER pays $155)

Detroit Lions – OVER/UNDER 8.5, UNDER -135 (the OVER pays $125, some books have EVEN odds on both sides)

Minnesota Vikings – OVER/UNDER 6, OVER -135 (the UNDER pays $124 on a $100 bet)

So the interesting thing here is that oddsmakers actually believe Minnesota can win at least 7 regular season games.  And there is some reason to believe that might happen.

Say what you will about Norv Turner, he is a good offensive coordinator and he’s now in Minnesota.

Monte Scates of Don Best Advantage, which offers some of the best video betting previews on the Net:

The Vikings won just five games last season but hope that new offensive coordinator Norv Turner can jump-start what has become a very predictable offense. The team has relied on RB Adrian Peterson far too much in recent years and needs more balance in order to be effective. Minnesota added QB Teddy Bridgewater out of Louisville after trading back into the bottom of the first round to make the selection. Bridgewater will battle with veteran Matt Cassel for the starting job.
Scates points out that there is a lot of youth on this season’s Vikings team and they’ll need to step it up in this division.
