These are the tried and true NFL betting trends that have made many a Gambling911.com reader lots of dough during the 2022 season.  Last week, was one of the best.  Our friends at BetOnline All Access have their own capsule previews as well.

Ravens vs. Browns

Ravens are a +2.5 dog in Cleveland. Baltimore should be at 1.52 and that means there is a 4 point overlay as well.

That number does NOT take into account the quarterback injury on the Ravens side.  Lamar Jackson sat out Sunday's 16-14 win at Pittsburgh with a knee injury, reportedly a sprained PCL.  He's likely worth 3 points on the spread, maybe 4.

Jackson has been ruled out for Sunday's game.  Oddmakers believed all along he'd be sidelined as the number really hasn't shifted much.

In the grand scheme of things, however, NFL games staying at 3 or under and hitting 2.5 have performed remarkably well for the favorite.

Overlays in this region had gone 6-3 up until two weeks ago (our last analysis).  That's a relatively modest sampling.

In college football, however, overlays are 4-15 in this spot.

That's enough for us to sit back and enjoy this game without a wager.

Steelers vs. Panthers

This one has moved from Panthers -1.5 to -3.  The early line was pretty accurate, the later, not so much.  We get a number of Carolina 0.90 for a line on the money to an overlay of 1.5.

As of two weeks ago, favorites of 3 or under that hit the 2.5 had gone 27-12 Against The Spread.  But here is the stat we really love, lines on the money in this range are 14-5.

Carolina has won three of their last four and four of their last six, with one of those losses in OT.

Do take the Panthers here at -2.5, although we'd rather have them at the early line of -1.5.

Cardinals vs. Broncos

Denver has gone from a -2.5 favorite to -3 and now back down to -1.5.   The team continues to deal with a whole lot of drama.

We get a number of 3.55, which pretty much puts this one on the money.  Do take Denver here -1.5.

Titans vs. Chargers

The line here is Chargers -2.5 to -3.  Another one that is smack on the money.  Do take the Chargers at -2.5 as we suspect this one falls on the 3.
