‘Not a Terrorist Attack’ French Police Say After Gunmen Storm Casino, Trigger Stampede

French authorities have ruled out terrorism in a Friday attack on a casino that resulted in a stampede involving some 700 gamblers.
Warning shots fired by one of four bandits triggered the panic. The four-man gang, carrying automatic rifles, ultimately fled with an undisclosed amount of cash from the Pasino casino in Aix-en-Provence, Southern France.
France remains in a state of emergency after Islamic jihadists killed 130 people in Paris last November.
Jean-Marc Barre of the local fire department said 15 people were evacuated with light injuries suffered in the panic.
The casino reopened Saturday.
