A representative for 7Red Sports insists his company has nothing to do with beleaguered BetIsland and it is business as usual.

An individual representing himself as the owner of now defunct BetIslands.com announced earlier in the month that his sportsbook had just purchased 7Red Sports.

Not true claims 7RedFred, posting on the SBR Forum

Dear 7Red Customers & SBRer's,

7Red's operations have no affiliation with Betislands and has in no way been affected by their recently announced collapse. It is business as usual at 7Red. Wagers are being accepted and payouts are being processed quickly and professionally. As with many things related to Betislands word of our merger by Jon was riddled with half-truths and grossly exaggerated. Betislands and Jon approached us about a potential merger but as you can see he had no money to run his business let alone buy ours. We will be here as always to support our customers and do everything possible to make you proud to say you do business with 7Red.

Sincerely,

7RedFred

Gambling911.com has little reason to doubt this assertion.

In a truly bizarre twist, that same individual claiming BetIslands had purchased 7Red Sports also reemerged on the SBR Forum to insist he was “never the owner”.

Savvy readers of the site were quick to pull up a post where he claimed otherwise.

First, an excerpt of “Jon’s” apology.

This is not an easy post to make but I feel it is the least I can do for players and to the forum community.

It has been weeks since I left my position as the GM for Betislands and after reading what the situation is right now I would like to provide clarification , since I was the one who talked up Betislands and believed in it more than anyone else did .During my time at Betislands I can sincerly say I always did my best for every single client always trying to get players paid and most of the time siding with the players. And for almost 2 years those things were accomplished.

The financial backing pulled out unexpectedly this is a verifiable fact from SBR and anyone in the sportsbook industry in Costa Rica. I am not the banker nor the money behind Betislands I was the General Manager in several aspects of the company including Public Relations but I was not the founding $$ nor the bank ( another fact that is easily verified )and for the most part we came through with our promises solid payouts , good CS and good bonuses. When everyone was getting the good stuff we were a top book of course.

After expressing my desire to leave for several months I left the company and retired from the post up scenario.

- Jon

And the post pulled up by SBR readers from merrier times at BetIslands.com:

Hi guys,

I posted this in the last thread.

As the owner and founder of Betislands we do NOT have any relations or ties with any sportsbooks , SBR has confirmed this by meeting with ownership and visiting our facilities.

While here at BI we wish the best of luck to our competition , in the end that is what they are competition my job is to make Betislands a top USA out not to partner up with more books.

Over the years my track record has spoken for itself if I post twice regarding this issue is because we have worked hard to brand our name.

Cheers,

Jon

Things that make you go hmmmmmm….or in this case, throw up!!!!
