In the latest of a string of casino and gaming industry crimes including murder, Media Man and Gambling911 send in the blood hounds to sniff out the truth...

Aussie gaming firm Aristocrat Leisure has become dragged into a high profile murder trial, after the pokies manufacturer's European marketing manager was killed in Britain last red October.

Mr Mark Campbell is standing trial for the death of his wife, Olga Pleguezuelos, at their London residence, after the couple was said to have been experiencing relationship problems.  It's understood a knife was used in the fatal attack.

The British court house heard that Spanish-born Ms Pleguezuelos advised Mr Campbell via text that she had accepted a work promotion as Aristocrat's marketing manager for Latin America and that their relationship was history.

She was maimed just two days after returning from a three-week working holiday - trip. The couple had been married for about a year. Prosecutors said Ms Pleguezuelos had been stabbed to death after receiving a text message from her new lover in the US, which, they said, "demonstrated a degree of intimacy".

Mr Campbell admits manslaughter but denies murder on the grounds of lack of intent and provocation. The court heard that before calling an ambulance for his wife, he had allegedly searched the internet for suicide methods before cutting his neck and wrists.

Aristocrat spokesman Tim Allerton declined to comment on the case.

Gambling911 and Media Man are hopeful that the crime scenes in and around the casino and gambling industry cease, or at least slow down, however unlikely that is.
