Premier League football club Arsenal have announced a partnership arrangement with the betting firm Paddy Power.  The marriage comes as quite a surprise after Paddy recently erected a billboard suggesting former Arsenal footballer, Andrey Arshavin, should be cleaning toilets.  In fact, Arsenal has bore the brunt of many Paddy Power’s humorous billboards over the past year.

Paddy Power issued the following statement regarding the three-year commitment:

‘Paddy Power will expand its online offering to customers and Arsenal supporters through a combination of industry-leading offers and exclusive bets around key fixtures throughout the season.’

The Irish bookmaker once placed a billboard outside Stamford Bridge that poked fun at footballer Fernando José Torres Sanz.  Chelsea was so irate they demanded to have the billboard taken down but were unable to do so.
