Barney Frank, chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, and advocate of legalized online poker, is slated to appear on the Jay Leno Show Tuesday night (August 31, 2010) on NBC (11:35 pm local time).
Barney is the author of legislation that would legalize Internet poker in the U.S. He has spoken extensively on the subject and it is not clear whether he will discuss these efforts while on Jay Leno.
Mr. Frank’s bill passed a subcommittee vote last month and will go next to the House and Senate.
On the prospect of such legislation passing, the Congressman told Gambling911.com: “You know with the Senate, you can never be sure because of the Republicans filibuster.”
