Can I Bet Sports Using My Mobile Phone While Visiting Las Vegas?

There are a number of ways to place sports bets via your mobile phone while visiting Las Vegas.  If you are already registered with a state app, that sportsbook might be licensed in Nevada as well.  Some of the biggest, however, are not.  Likewise, offshore sportsbooks are mostly accessible for betting while in Vegas.  It should be noted that quite a few offshore books - BetOnline included - do not accept customers with Nevada home addresses, though you can still place bets with BetOnline from Vegas if you're already one of their customers.  Jazz Sports does accept new customers from Nevada.

I Can't Bet With FanDuel From Las Vegas

If you are unable to access your FanDuel betting account while in Vegas, have no fear.  You can simply open an account with an sportsbook like Jazz Sports and be up and running within an hour (18 and up) provided you're able to fund your account.  Usually Bitcoin is the best way to start wagering immediately if that's your thing.  Jazz allows customers from most U.S. states and credit cards are also accepted.  Jazz Sports is internationally licensed and even runs land-based casinos throughout Latin America.

Jazz Sports has one of the largest selections of deposit and payout options in the industry, all of them 100% secure and reliable.

FanDuel is currently not available from the state of Nevada.  So while in Las Vegas, you will be unable to play there.

Can't Bet With My Damn DraftKings App Either

Nevada gaming regulators decided that daily fantasy was a form of sports wagering DraftKings and FanDuel had operated under this capacity without a sports betting license.  Therefore, DraftKings is unable to obtain a license here and will not take bets from Nevada residents or those visiting the state from other jurisdictions where their products are legal and said customers are already registered.

Gambling911.com believes the real reason is that Nevada has a decades long established relationship with casino operators, and they do not want DraftKings and FanDuel entering the market.  Both have canibalized other markets like New Jersey, primarily because they offer a good product.  They actually own better than 70% of the market share in the Garden State despite all the competition there.

DraftKings, like FanDuel, also geofences.  In other words they know where you are betting from and prohibit use of their app in states where they are not licensed.

Once again, Jazz Sports offers an excellent alternative.  Jazz does not geofence.

If You Are Registered With One of These Apps, You May Be in Luck

BetMGM and Caesars were long entrenched in the Nevada market.  It should come as no surprise that their apps are available for placing real money bets.

WynnBet, Golden Nugget, Superbook and Circa Sportsbook apps all work here, however, they have limited exposure in other U.S. states.

Circa Sportsbook gets rave reviews from professional sports gamblers.  If you do not have an account here, it can't hurt to join while in Vegas.  There is one important caveat.  You will need to register in-person at the Circa Sportsbook at the Circa Resort & Casino, which is a little further up from some of the more familiar Strip hotels.

This policy applies to any of these state-regulated sportsbooks (BetMGM, Caesars, WynnBet, Golden Nugget, Superbook and Circa).  If you are not already registered, you'll need to do so in person if you wish to place bets via your mobile devices.
