There are allegations that the employee, Ethan Haskell, had access to critical insider information, thus providing an unequal playing field.  DraftKings officials deny Haskell had said information prior to making his FanDuel contest entries.

FanDuel has operated out of Manhattan for at least three years.

Collecting wages in the state while not being registered can be considered a violation of New York State law.

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is currently investigating both FanDuel and DraftKings to determine if one or both of the companies allowed their employees to access insider information for which they could have benefitted financially.

In another bizarre twist, it was revealed this week that FanDuel had employed a Public Relations specialist who made headlines years ago after make a racial tweet.
