Bookies across the U.S. will be holding their breath, crossing their fingers, perhaps even smashing their television sets when all is said and done.  They will be rooting for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Say what?

Bookies rooting for the Alabama Crimson Tide?

Over the years, this has not exactly been the norm, and make no mistake about it, Alabama is still a high quality team with championship aspirations this year.

But at -7 to -7.5 depending on the book, action is 75% on the LSU Tigers as an underdog Saturday evening.

Alabama, typically a public favorite, has been helping the books up to this point with their 3-5 record Against The Spread despite their 7-0 record.

Louisiana State comes into this game undefeated and with a 4-3 record Against The Spread.

Michigan State at -5 was another big public favorite.
