Gambling911.com has given the green light to its readers to visit Kentucky, eat Papa John's Pizza and - more important of all - enjoy some good ‘ol Kentucky bourbon.
"The boycott has ended as far as we here at Gambling911.com are concerned," expressed Payton O'Brien, Senior Editor.
The Website BoycottKentucky.com called for the boycott of Kentucky and those companies that conducted business there such as Yum! Brands Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Papa John's and Jim Bean. That state had threatened to seize some 141 online gambling domain names. A circuit court judge ordered a forfeiture hearing for December. But in a dramatic turn of events, a Kentucky appeals court effectively cancelled the forfeitures for now by granting a stay of motion for the Interactive Media Entertainment & Gaming Association.
"For some of us here the hardest part of this boycott has been abstaining from Bourbon," O'Brien said.
Gambling911.com's Jenny Woo has done her part to honor the boycott.
"I wouldn't ‘date' a man if he were wearing Fruit of the Loom underwear or its more manly BVD brand," Woo said, pointing out that Fruit of the Loom is based out of Bowling Green, Kentucky. "I would make him take them off."
Should a decision be rendered by the Kentucky appeals court that is not favorable to the online gambling sector, a boycott will be initiated at that time.
