Cheap Air Flights Canada to Las Vegas – December 2011 (Christmas and New Year’s Included)

A special note to Edmonton travelers as Virgin America is slated to begin connecting flights thru San Francisco to Las Vegas in early January. 

Toronto to Las Vegas cheap air flights December 2011 -

American Airlines did offer a one-stop flight thru New York for $429 round trip while Delta had numerous flights thru its US hubs of Cincinnati and Minneapolis for $440 round trip the 7^th thru the 13^th.   We did Tuesday thru Tuesday of that same week and turned up a WestJet flight for $419 round trip.

The 14^th thru the 20^th yielded results that were about $100 off from the previous week.  American Airlines and WestJet both offered a flight that was $316 with one stop, those these were often combined fares that could be found on various travel websites.  WestJet featured a $343 round trip flight direct.  Air Canada had a direct flight for $376.  Flying time was approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes on the nonstop.

Christmas and New Year’s Day both fall on a Sunday this season and, as such, many Canadians will want to spend the holiday season celebrating in Las Vegas.

Continental Airlines was offering connection flights between Toronto and Las Vegas for travel between Wednesday December 21 and Tuesday December 27 at $353 round trip.  Nonstops were starting at $470.  Planning a trip Tuesday the 20th thru Tuesday the 27^th, shed $30 off the one-stop flights on Continental.  Nonstops Tuesday thru Tuesday were brutal at $619 round trip that week.  Thursday thru Tuesday connecting flights on Continental were listed at $412 while nonstop were coming in at $471 to $501 with an Air Canada/United combination found on some travel sites with only one leg of that round trip nonstop (Toronto to Las Vegas on Air Canada). 

Wednesday the 28^th thru Tuesday January 3 flights were $491 round trip with one stop.  Thursday thru Wednesday flights going through the New Year’s Eve weekend were going for about $50 less round trip, with stopovers.  Nonstops were $540 and up during that period.

Vancouver to Las Vegas cheap air flights December 2011 –

You’re in luck!  Alaska Air Lines had round trips between Tuesday and Wednesday the 7^th thru 13^th one stop at just $213.

The 14^th thru 20^th round trip fares were $242, also on Alaska with a stopover.  Air Canada was offering nonstop at just $267 as were Continental and WestJet. 

During the Christmas weekend, flights between Wednesday and Tuesday included a $400 round trip nonstop on WestJet, which probably will not last very long.  The Tuesday thru Tuesday travel sheds off $30, also nonstop on WestJet. 

Going through the New Year’s Eve weekend, round trip nonstop on three airlines – WestJet, Alaska and Air Canada – all cost $470 Wednesday thru Tuesday. 

Flying time is just over 2 hours. 

Calgary to Las Vegas cheap air flights December 2011 –

7^th thru the 13^th - $261 with one stop on US Airways.  Nonstop flights on Air Canada and United were generally $100 more during this time period.

14^th thru 20^th – Air Canada and Alaska had nonstop at $293.

21^st thru 27^th were $379 nonstop on a bunch of the airlines.  Save $79 on your air fare by spending an extra night in Vegas traveling Tuesday the 20^th thru the 27^th.  Most airlines were offering nonstop fares at $300 round trip for travel on these dates (Air Canada, WestJet, Continental).

7^th thru the 13^th – Stopovers were $323 to $343 on various airlines.

14^th thru the 20^th - $343 nonstops

New Year’s Eve Weekend – Flights were around $600 round trip Wednesday thru Tuesday but flying out Thursday the 29^th thru Wednesday the 4^th you will save close to $150.  Nonstop on Continental or WestJet during this period was $500 round trip.  One stop was $461.  US Airways was offering a one stop flight at $500. 

Halifax to Las Vegas cheap air flights December 2011 –

7^th thru the 13^th – $461 with stopovers.  $500 round trip.

14^th thru the 20^th - $403 with one stopover across the board.

21st thru 27^th - $502 across the board.  Continental and US Airways had round trip flights at $452 for the 20^th thru 27^th (Tuesday thru Tuesday).

New Year’s Eve weekend – Your best bet would probably be to fly Thursday thru Tuesday with a US Airways and United combo offering a round trip stop over flight at $521 (found on Cheapoair.com). 

Hamilton to Las Vegas cheap air flights December 2011 –

7^th thru the 13^th – $327 on flight combos from various travel sites. 

14^th thru 20^th - $327 air combos.

Christmas Weekend - $364 Continental

New Year’s Eve Weekend - $521 round trip Thursday thru Tuesday on Continental.
