One of the leading sports handicapping, stats and lines comparison websites, Covers.com, has been sold to Gracenote, a subsidiary of Tribune Media.

BetOnline

The Halifax-based company was sold alongside SportsDirect Inc. and Infostrada Sports.  The three entities will combine to form a new branch of Gradnote Sports next generation statistics platform.

“Covers.com has a broad readership and houses the industry’s top sports analysts and handicappers who provide counsel to a wide range of fans, from casual viewers and fantasy players to sports bettors,” says Graham McKenna, VP of Marketing for Gracenote. “With its unique editorial, industry experts and resources, we see many opportunities to leverage the Covers group across the Gracenote Sports business and the broader Tribune organization.”

Financial details of the sale were not immediately known to Gambling911.com.
