Cowboys Star Blasts Barstool Sports: 'You People Are Sick!'

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons went on a rampage against the Barstool Sports Twitter account after shaming him for showing support for a division rival player.

Parsons praised Philadelphia Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson for playing with a torn adductor in his groin.  He helped guide the Eagles to their first Super Bowl appearance since 2018.  Phildelphia was a -1 favorite against the Kansas City Chiefs as of Thursday morning after getting as high as -2.5.

"I dot think people realize what lane Johnson is doing rn! Freaking heroic! One of my favorites players in this league!"

Johnson responded with a handshake emoji.

“Love you big bro! Keep going! Not many like you! Definitely not playing like you healthy or with a torn groin! Go win a bowl for our division!” Parsons wrote.

Barstool Sports’ Bobby Reagan took issue with the "Go win a bowl for our division!" line as the Eagles are arch rivals to the Cowboys.

What the hell are you doing here Micah? We all know that Lane is battling through a brutal injury to compete. But you’re the star of the Cowboys. You know what you don’t do? Publicly tell the Eagles to go win a Super Bowl. Go ahead and tell him privately. Text him even. Sure. But the moment you publicly said this, it became the lowest, saddest moment in the history of the Cowboys.

Parsons responded to Reagan's post.  He didn't exactly hold back either.

“You people are sick! You will sit in your own misery because of lack of accomplishments than root for others!! I have no Shame! The league is a brotherhood! I’ll never pray down another man success nor be ashamed to say I’m happy for my brothers success!” Parsons wrote.

Barstool Sports isn't just any sports media outlet.  The company also operates sportsbooks in the US regulated market.

Some regulators, like those in Massachusetts, have cited Barstool Sports owner and founder David Portnoy's character as rationale for not initially extending it a license to operate a sportsbook in the commonwealth.

In early January Massachusetts regulators did an about-face.   Barstool Sports parent company PENN Sports Interactive got its initial approval to operate the sportsbook platform following a two-day meeting.  It must meet five conditions as part of agreement, including providing results of two ongoing investigations.

Among those conditions, PENN must provide diversity goals for its own workforce and those of suppliers.

Portnoy last year was accused of sexual misconduct of various women, accusations the controversial Barstool Sports founder vehemently denies.
