Doyle Brunson Confirmed for World Series of Poker Europe
There's nothing more synonymous with the World Series of Poker than Doyle Brunson. Having played in dozens of WSOP events since its inception, the poker legend has confirmed that he will be continuing his record by entering the 3rd annual WSOPE in the UK this September.
"I never miss a World Series of Poker and I'm certainly not going to miss the next big one in Europe," said Doyle Brunson. "I'm really looking forward to heading over there again this fall and taking a bracelet back to America."
The WSOPE features a series of No Limit Hold'em, Pot Limit Hold'em ad Pot Limit Omaha events. It all begins on September 18 in London, England with the Main Event scheduled for September 26.
Last year, Brunson defeated the reigning WSOPE champion, Annette Obrestad, in a promotional heads-up match.
Doyle Brunson has grown quite fond of the UK and the WSOPE isn't the only European tournament that he'll be playing in. In mid-September, Brunson will take a seat in $1,000,000 English Poker Open, a 270-player tournament that takes place at the UK's Dusk Till Dawn Casino from September 15 - 17.
