Former Legends Sportsbook Employee Deported Back to Panama

A high level former employee of the now defunct Legends Sportsbook will be deported back to Panama after serving nearly a year in home confinement in the USA.

Michele Lasso helped facilitate money transfers to and from the US according to authorities.  She has since assisted in locating some $7 million of monies held in foreign banks.

Law enforcement utilized wire tapping of Skype conversations in an international offshore gambling probe that resulted in charges against principals of Legends Sports in Panama and others.

An Albany, New York probe initially begun as a drug investigation resulted in charges being filed against 34 individuals.  Two Albany corrections officers have already been sentenced.

The main investigation is being coordinated through the Western District of Oklahoma US attorney’s Office.  Law enforcement claims a total of $1 billion is unaccounted for as part of the case that dates back ten years.

Legends Sports operated from Panama City, Panama.
