Casino Magnate and GOP mega donor Sheldon Adelson has hired former Democratic Senator Blanche Lincoln as part of his campaign to abolish legalized Web gambling in the US.

Adelson’s Las Vegas Sands corporation hired Lincoln Policy Group, according to public records obtained by Politico.com.

The casino billionaire has stated he will do “whatever it takes” to stop legalized online gambling.  Adelson has called the activity “toxic” and a “cancer to society”.  He has previously hired former New York Governor George Pataki as a lobbyist.  Adelson is pushing for new legislation that is expected to be introduced as early as this week by South Carolina Republican Senator Lindsey Graham.
