Harrah's Atlantic City Pays Out Another $1M Poker Jackpot

(NewJerseyNewsRoom.com) A woman won $1 million on a $20 poker bet at Harrah's Resort in Atlantic City on Sunday. She became the second player in the casino’s "Three Card Poker 6 Card" bonus jackpot promotion, started September 26, to earn $1 million.

According to an Associated Press report on NJ.com, officials at Harrahs said the woman, whose name was not disclosed, had been playing at the table for about two hours before she hit the promotion’s top prize— a royal flush in diamonds.

A royal flush containing the other suits earns the player $100,000. A man from Virginia took home $100,000 previously on November 25.The New York Post reported that the first top prizewinner collected $1 million on October 23.

According to PR Newswire, the woman said this was only the third time she had played Three Card Poker 6 Card Bonus. John Smith, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Harrah's Resort Atlantic City said, “Our Three Card Poker tables are overflowing with eager players. Million dollar jackpots are seemingly hitting on a monthly basis.”

The game gives players a chance to win $1 million by betting as little as $15 and hitting a Super Royal in Diamonds: 9, 10, J, Q, K, A. To be eligible to make the $1 million bet a player has to place an ante wager and a Pair Plus wager based on table bet minimums.
