CNN looking to boost ratings with controversial show co-host, Eliot Spitzer

He once declared war on Internet gambling, then on prostitution rings.  Eventually, he started using brothels himself.  Eliot Spitzer was forced out as New York's Governor.  Now he's back and bigger than ever before.  Spitzer has been signed on to co-host a new CNN program.

He'll be paired with conservative political columnist Kathleen Parker.

Spitzer and Parker will be replacing Campbell Brown at the 8 pm hour.

In 2003, then Attorney General Eliot Spitzer went after 10 banks, claiming they were in cahoots with online gambling.  He also forced PayPal to stop doing business with the industry.

"This is a turning point in the credit card industry," Spitzer said at the time. "The vast majority of credit card issuers-and all issuers doing significant business with New York consumers-has now recognized their legal, ethical, and business obligation to block credit-card transactions identified as online gambling."

Did somebody say "Ethical"?
