Legends Sports to Shut Down: Will Transfer Accounts to Other Book

Exactly one week after indictments were handed down against 34 individuals tied to Panama-based Legends Sports, that long established sportsbook has made the decision to shut down.

Legends alerted customers via email that they were in talks with another top online sportsbook to have all accounts transferred.

From SportsBookCommission.com:

Dear Legends Customer,

We have some important information regarding your Legends account.  Please take a moment to read it carefully,

Effective today, 17th April 2013, youj will no longer be able to bet with Legends Sports. We are in the process of negotiating to have a A rated sports book assume the balances.

We would like to assure you that all funds are perfectly safe and secure.  Any unsettled bets will be honored settled by the provider assuming your account.

All customers will be receiving email instructions on how to activate your account within the next 24-48 hours.

We thank you for your loyalty and know that you will be in very good hands with your new provider.

Sincere regards,

Management and staff

Players will be contacted within 48 hours with new account information, according to SportsBookReview.com. A minimal 2X play-through will be required prior to any cashout. This balance takeover is for players that held deposited funds with Legends; not users that had private arrangements.

Legends Sports, one of offshore sports betting’s first call center bookmakers, had much of its network disrupted following last week’s indictments.

Legends, while operating online, was believed to engage primarily in credit wagering, though the exact ration was not immediately known.
