One lucky pokies player in Australia managed to hit a $4 million progressive jackpot thanks in no small part to Playtech and NetBet reaching a last minute licensing extension agreement.

Had the agreement not been extended just days before the player, using the handle “Tokoshi”, hit the grand prize, the anonymous online casino gambler would still be some poor sap like the rest of us.

“We’re delighted to be continuing our excellent relationship with NetBet, one of our most established partners and, that just days after signing the agreement, one of their players struck gold on one of our biggest progressive games,” Shimon Akad, Playtech’s Chief Operating Officer told Pokiespedia.com this week.

Pokiespedia confirmed that the jackpot was hit on December 13, 2015 and only publicized this week to ensure the player’s privacy.

Playtech is the leading supplier of online casino software.  NetBet is one of the top Web casinos in the world.
